The Piano Tuner of Earthquakes (The Quay Brothers)

The brothers Quay are famous for Tool videos and a bunch of animated shorts. Their style is something like Fritz Lang meets Jan Svankmejer. They combine stop motion animation and live action. I really couldn't tell you what this movie was about. Something about an instrument called an automaton and an opera singer. It's all very dream like. But this kind of stuff is better in short form. I applaud the creativity and the look of it all, but it just left me saying WTF and wishing it would end fast.
